The diagnostics of electrochemical sources is a serious actual problem. The variable of internal resistance is an insufficient parameter for proper diagnostics in the case of a complex and nonlinear system, such as the electrochemical source. This work deals with an extension of new diagnostics methods and analyses. It focuses on the diffusion process in dependence on steady-state voltage equilibrium after the impulse test. Results show that this method can be a reliable and accurate indicator in the diagnostics of electrochemical sources.
