The IoT node uses ISM frequency band at 433 MHz to wirelessly transmit measured data to the base station up to several hundreds of meters. It can use a battery for the powering but it is intended to use it just with the powering using the surrounding energy. It contains specialized circuit that can harvest solar energy, piezoelectric energy, etc.
