Original language description
This paper introduces a custom solution to read audio signal from MEMS microphone array using FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). The obtained audio samples are subsequently streamed to a computer through the USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface using the FX2LP USB microcontroller’s FIFO (First In First Out) bus. The FPGA design was coded in the VHDL language, whereas the FX2LP firmware is written in the C language. The solution described can read up to 16 TDM microphones with sampling frequency 48 kHz or two I2S channels up to 384 kHz.
