Readiness of the Czech Gas Sector for the Hydrogen Blend
Original language description
This research article examines the readiness of the Czech gas sector for the introduction of hydrogenblended natural gas. The shift towards green energy has led to a growing interest in hydrogen as an alternative fuel and energy carrier. Natural gas with hydrogen blending can significantly reduce carbon emissions and help achieve climate targets. However, the Czech gas sector needs to overcome several challenges, including infrastructure modifications, standardization, and regulatory issues to implement hydrogen blending successfully. This research article highlights the current state of the Czech gas sector, the benefits and barriers of hydrogen blending, and the strategies needed to ensure a smooth transition towards sustainable energy. The study concludes that the Czech gas sector is currently burdened by many challenges in order to transport the hydrogen blend by 2025.
