    Impact of Bodies on Harmonic Transponder Conversion Loss and Radiation Patterns

    In this work, we demonstrate the impact of body proximity on the conversion loss and radiation patterns of harmonic transponders. Two different devices are characterized using a biological phantom of an upper arm, which is shown to degrade the transponder's performance by more than 3 dB.
