The aim of this article is to answer the question - how important were the links in Czechoslovak-Polish cooperation in 1949 and what was the focus of Czechoslovak interest in this cooperation? The text primarily focuses on the activities of the Czechoslovak Minister of Technology and professor of the Czech Technical University Emanuel Šlechta. In addition to the literature on this topic, the article uses archival materials collected in Polish and Czech archives - the National Archives of the Czech Republic and the Archive of Security Forces.
