  • Original language description

    Acousto-optical tunable filters (AOTFs) offer superior spectral resolution in quasi-collinear configurations but are limited to wavelengths below 5 µm. Mercurous chloride (Hg2Cl2) extends AOTF capabilities into the LWIR range. We present a Hg2Cl2-based quasi-collinear AOTF with a Glan-Foucault polarizer, its measurement procedure, and construction limitations.
