This paper presents the design, simulation, and experimental evaluation of an array of interstitial helical microwave applicators for the treatment of deep-seated tumours, such as pancreatic cancer. The system operates at 2.45 GHz and incorporates eight coaxial-based helical antennas, optimised for efficient and localised microwave energy delivery. These antennas are specifically designed to minimise power reflection and maximise energy absorption within the targeted tissue, thereby ensuring a safe and effective thermal profile.
