Original language description
The study of free space powering using High-Power Laser Source (HPLS) and Photonic Power Converters (PPCs) is presented. Optical power transfer is an emerging technology for wireless energy transmission. The optics powering technology is implemented through two approaches: Power over Fiber (PoF) and Free-Space Power (FSP) delivery. PoF systems leverage optical fibers as a guided medium for power transmission, offering benefits such as high efficiency and minimal environmental interference. In contrast, FSPs power transfer enables wireless energy delivery, making it particularly suitable for applications where physical connections are impractical, such as remote sensors, space systems, and industrial automation.
