    Disturbance Immunity of PC Plug-In Boards

    A disturbance immunity is an important parameter of an AD module quality. An EMC conditions in the system, and an external disturbing fields can significantly influence the measured results. The tests made till now showed, that a disturbing magnetic field influences significantly middle/high quality AD boards, while a disturbance propagating over supply lines influences low-cost AD boards above all. The influence of both disturbing sources on the number of effective bits was tested. The disturbance immunity factor DIF was also defined for comparison of the disturbance immunity of different AD boards.
