News Information Filtering Supported by Semantic Web Knowledge Base
Original language description
Information overload still remains an unsolved problem. Contrary to traditional information filtering systems exploiting information retrieval techniques to select relevant information, we propose the use of data crawled from semantic web as a knowledgebase. In this paper we introduce the architecture of the information filtering system supported by the semantic knowledge base. We propose the model of user profile maintaining the semantic information. We show that this approach can lead to more accurate results than traditional information retrieval techniques.
