    The through roads in urban areas are the places of great traffic importance and for this reason of concentration of serious problems. The purpose of process of modern formation and traffic calming of through roads is to reach better safety of all participants of road traffic, improvement of pedestrians and cyclists movement conditions, optimising used communication space, improvement aesthetic standards of through road and to slow down the environmental impact of air pollution and road traffic noise.
