Original language description
The aim of the proceeding is to declare the capabilities of sophisticated airbag systems of the vehicles. The target functions of the systems under consideration are the proper time of airbag triggering using early crash and precrash sensing and the reduction of the airbag aggressivity during low-crash accidents respectively. The strategy of side airbags is considered as well - especially from the sensing point of view. The design and optimal control strategy of the active safety belt pretensioners is evaluated from the injury level point of view. The described methodology enables to reduce the development of injury mechanisms, its severity and to keep the loadings of the tissues under the tolerance level.
