Czech Technical University, Faculty of Transportation Sciences has added to its offer of study programmes new specialization oriented directly at Intelligent Transport Systems designed to ensure students obtaining knowledge from all ITS areas based on firm technical background. During their studies of the ITS study program students further focus on their preferred ITS area and choose their specialization either in Traffic Control, Vehicle Technology or ITS Project Management, to ensure high quality of education the study program introduces also the possibility of "block-scheme" education to enable easy lecturing of foreign guesting specialists. This article summarizes reasons for introducing specialized ITS study program, conception of the program, experiences from the program formation and finally the content of the new ITS specialized program.

Fakulta dopravní Českého vysokého učení technického v Praze přidala mezi své studijní obory nový obor specializovaný přímo na Inteligentní dopravní systémy (ITS). Tento obor je navržen tak, aby studenti získali znalosti ze všech oblastí ITS založené na solidních technických znalostech. Během studia tohoto oboru se studenti dále specializují dle svého zájmu v ITS a vyberou si zaměření buď na Řídící systémy dopravy, Vozidlovou techniku nebo Řízení dopravně-přepravních procesů. Pro zajištění vysoké kvalitystudia zavádí obor ITS tzv. blokové schéma výuky umožňující snadné hostování zahraničních specialistů. Tento článek shrnuje důvody zavedení specializovaného ITS oboru, koncepci celého oboru, zkušenosti z jeho tvorby a obsah tohoto nového specializovaného ITS studijního oboru.
