The paper presents the main idea and experiences from realization project "Innovation of study program Engineering Informatics in Transportation and Communications in relation to the needs of automotive industry", currently running on Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Transportation Sciences (CTU FTS). This project is focused on improvement of student practical skills and knowledge in design methods and tools used in the automotive industry. The partner company SKODA AUTO, C.O. guaranteesan open access to latest technology and enables students to get acquainted with very specific professional knowledge.
