Original language description
The people in their history always wanted to consume more energy than they were able to dispose. So in the primeval ages they used boats at most and so the energy of water flows, eventually the wind energy and gradually they added the use of animals, above all horses, donkeys or camels. This state continued for a long time and became to change dramatically with the industrial revolution. The transport means started to be propelled by steam or electricity and the water transport began to be substituted by the until then secondary land transport. The road and rail infrastructure originated. The second aspect was the possibility of inland states to take part in the international trade. The whole 19th century was the time of the search for the optimal energy source for the propulsion of transport means. The result is the enforcement of the electricity in the so called dependent traction and oil products for the road transport offering big energy content in low mass volume.
