Implementation of the Most Modern Knowledge About High Performance Canopies into the Present Regulations
Original language description
High performance canopies have nowadays totally different flight characteristics and technical parameters in comparison with old-school profiles. Flying technique desirable for these canopies is quite different and more sophisticated. The currently validregulations used by FAI (Federal Aeronautical Institution), USPA (United States Parachute Association) and other authorities don´t solve the problem of proper educating and licensing of high performance canopy pilots. In the last couple of years many skydivers have died under a fully functional parachute. Main goal of this project is to suggest changes to increase safety at the airports and to avoid some serious injuries. First of all is needed to deal with analysis of accidents. More than 80% of themwere cause by human failure, less than 10 % was connected to the failure of equipment (and usually was caused by un- professional maintenance). These types of failures can be eliminated by using the right flying techniques and regular ins
