Emanuel Czuber (1851 - 1925) wurde in der tschechischen Familie als Sohn des Karel Čubr geboren und lebte bis 1886 in Prag. Er studierte und unterrichtete an deutschen Schulen; am Anfang seiner Karriere hat er aber auch etliche tschechische Aufsätze publiziert und war z. B. tätig in der Union tschechischer Mathematiker und Physiker. Im Vortrag wird diese erste Lebensperiode von E. Czuber präsentiert.
