Original language description
The paper deals with the concepts of work with risks that are used in managerial and engineering disciplines directed to ensure the security for humans through ensuring the safe buildings, safe infrastructures, safe territories and safe human communitiesconsidered as systems. Individual concepts of these disciplines fulfil different goals, are based on various assumptions, have different demands on knowledge, data, forces, sources and means, and therefore, they involve different measures and activitiesfor implementation in practice. The paper summarizes the results of assessment of their criticality with regard to public assets and shows cases in which the most challenging concept, even though its application is very expensive. The special attentionis given to aviation safety.
