Detection of aggressive driver behavior using on-board camera and GPS module
Original language description
This paper studies a possibility to use a set of onboard high-resolution cameras and GPS unit to detect aggressive drivers near a floating car in real traffic. Hardware and software requirements and system architecture are described in detail. Differenttypes of classifiers and object tracking algorithms are described and compared. Mainly open source software packages, such as OpenCV with GNU license, are considered due to the possibility to use them in projects without any restrictions and adjust a source code to specific needs. Additionally we describe a possibility to increase quality of GPS positioning with information obtained from a CAN bus of the vehicle. Information about vehicle speed, steering angle etc. are used to construct a physical modelof the vehicle, real GPS coordinates and position obtained by a model are further fused by Kalman filter. At the same time, GIS data and information from onboard cameras are used to obtain in lane position of the vehicle.
