    Use of eCall Unit Data to Estimate Accident Seriousness

  • Original language description

    This paper consider a possibility to use eCall system to estimate a severity of a traffic accident. Based on a measured data, eCall unit detect a collision of a vehicle and initiate an emergency call, in case of an accident. The paper deals with analysisof data measured during a frontal collation crash test and possible causes of injuries obtained by passengers. Furthermore, there is a comparison of the data obtained during the crash test by eCall system and data measured with additional equipment. Possibility to use data measured by eCall for estimation of consequences and severity of a traffic accident are discussed.
