Measurement and Control System for Testing Batteries

  • Original language description

Measurement and Control System for Testing of Accumulators (hereinafter in annotation referred to as System) is part of automated workplace for testing of electric accumulators. System is able to acquire detailed record of short-term battery operation (1 cycle of charge and discharge) and long-term battery operating (hundreds or thousands of cycles depending on the parameters of cycling), which is essential for determining cycle life of the battery. Both electrochemical batteries and supercapacitors can be measured. In principle it is also possible to measure the fuel cells. A series combination of up to 6 cells can be measured simultaneously. Significant values, waveforms and characteristics of accumulator charge and discharge are obtained by the System. Parameters for the mathematical model of the battery build additional result of measurement. A novel feature is the programmability of any testing schemes and an automated self-calibration of the own battery computation model.
