Measuring of Cyclist Impact Dynamics
Original language description
The paper is focused upon a detection of cyclist dynamics in non-standard situations. From forensic expert point of view there is significant both a post-crash motion in case of a collision with the passenger car and riding dynamics of the cyclist. The paper deals with a biomechanical analysis of a load exerted on a child cyclist in two impact configurations typical for cyclists, i.e. sudden entering the road or non-giving way in the configuration no.1: car front vs. left side of the cyclist and insufficient breaking or uncontrolled avoidance manoeuvre in the configuration no.2: vehicle front part – back of the cyclist. The tests performed in the configuration no. 1 should also verify safety assets of the bicycle helmet.
