Mapping of Cooperative Surveillance Systems Using SSR Transponder’s Replies Analyze
Original language description
Secondary surveillance radars (SSR) form the backbone of cooperative surveillance infrastructure for civil air traffic service providers in Europe today. The paper presents a method which enables to detect the real SSR coverage redundancy for particular place of an airspace. The method is based on an analysis of passive reception of messages which are emitted by the onboard SSR transponder during fly over of the given space.
