Original language description
The urban rail transport and, in particular the subway is the critical infrastructure element, the malfunction of which can paralyze the operation of entire urban centre. Due to the number of passengers it is necessary to ensure the continuous supervision on the operation of trains, track sections, stations and in particular on the flows of passengers. Ensuring the safety of transport of passengers is the crucial, especially in areas of subway where even minor equipment failure or personnel failure can have fatal consequences in terms of damage to health and lives of passengers and property. The paper deals with the supervision and management system of metro operation, i.e. it mainly concentrates on metro cyber safety and its security. On the basis of three case studies based on real emergency situations it proposes the improvement of metro cyber safety and its security.
