Original language description
DATEX II has been developed to provide a standardized way of communication and exchange of traffic information and it plays an important role for implementing integrated Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in Europe. This standard is suggested for providing information services for safe and secure truck parking places which is considered one of the priority in the ITS Action Plan. The novelty of this paper is focused on the design and implementation of DATEX II common profiles for truck parking systems taking into account different users’ needs and focusing on what is strictly required or what gives useful information about truck parking places. Likewise, the research includes a data information exchange platform based on DATEX II.
