The paper shows that the impacts of drinking water supply failure on public assets depend on the drinking water network topology. In detail two cases of drinking water supply failure in the Central Bohemia region are studied; it goes on the technical disruption of distribution network and the contamination of supplied water with toxic substance in one of drinking water source.
