Unmanned aircraft system movement in urban areas
Original language description
Although the current legislation of most countries does not support mass use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in urban areas, this topic has been attracting more attention. Besides the current utilization of drones in particular civil and military areas, the use of drones for delivery of goods to customer is a subject of many discussions. For such an application, it is necessary to design and tweak complex concepts of transportation employing unmanned aircraft systems starting from the perspective of the flight trajectory design to the assessment of the safety factors. In this paper, we therefore focused on the future of the possible movement of UAS in urban areas. It contains a proposal of the condition settings on UAS, pilot-operator, and flight trajectory from the viewpoint of air operation safety as well as the proposals of possible flight trajectories.
