ANPR data as a key source of traffic behavior information
Original language description
The concept of smart cities is based on the collection, evaluation, and use of specific data. The automatic number plate detection system provides information on the spatiotemporal presence of vehicles in the monitored area. This information allows us to study driver behavior and quantify traffic volumes in larger territorial units. This paper works with test tasks that outline the use of ANPR data for studying traffic behavior and its subsequent use for traffic engineering applications.
