    New Human Machine Interface for VR-1 Training Reactor

  • Original language description

    A new human machine interface installed at the VR-1 training reactor is discussed. The interface, which is based on a personal computer equipped with two displays, enables to operate the training reactor and was designed with respect to functional, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements. The VR-1 reactor is utilized particularly for training of university students and nuclear power plant staff, and is oriented to the reactor and neutron physics, dosimetry, nuclear safety and control of nuclear installations. The training reactor also improves the safety and comfort of the reactor utilization, facilitates experiments and training, and provides better support of foreign visitors.
