Following monuments of the Czech cultural heritage are among the objects have been investigated by radionuclide X-ray fluorescence analysis: 1) newly discovered Late Gothic frescoes in the palace and chapel of Žirovnice Castle, frescoes in the Chapel ofOur Lady in Karlštejn Castle,2) frescoes in the Church of Our Lady before Týn. The results allow not only differing between the old parts of frescoes and the later repainting, but also getting some information about types of pigments used by medieval pa inters.
