Iron and water as two main shielding materials important for reactor pressure vessel design have been studied of the viewpoint of neutron and gamma radiation transport trough shielding slabs. At present time existing an experimental assembly base for experimental setting of parameters of mixed neutron and gamma fields behind WWER-440 and WWER-1000 reactors pressure vessels modelling has been extended by a iron sphere with diameter of 100 cm and water spheres of 30 and 50 cm. The leakage spectra for assemblies with iron spheres of diameter 30, 50 and 100 cm and water spheres with diameter of 30 and 50 cm have been measured by independent spectrometers from different laboratories. The hydrogen proportional counters and stillbene type scintillation counters were used for neutron spectra measurement in the energy range 0.01-20 MeV.
