Thermoluminescence of chromium doped cadmium pyroniobate, Cd2Nb2O7:Cr, was studied as a natural continuation of our recent investigation of photoluminescence properties of Cr3+ impurity centers in this interesting material that undergoes a sequence of seven phase transitions of various nature. The emission spectrum of this photoluminescence consists of four rather pronounced narrow emission lines centered at 737.7, 737.1, 736.7, and 736.5 nm at 12 K accompanied by vibrational sidebands extending in theStokes side up to 840 nm. Exposition of the Cd2Nb2O7:Cr crystal to monochromatic light with wavelength shorter than about 600 nm at 12 K caused decrease of the Cr3+ photoluminescence intensity and allowed to observe thermoluminescence of Cr3+ ions within60 - 200 K during subsequent heating of the crystal. Glow curve of integral Cr3+ thermoluminescence possesses a rather rich composite structure with two pronounced intensive glow peaks at 91 and 178 K and four rather weak peaks at 97, 11
