Surface diffusion of particles adsorbed on a square lattice with two non-equivalent sites
Original language description
We investigated diffusion of particles adsorbed on a solid surface. The surface adsorption sites form a square lattice. There are two kinds of the sites: deep and shallow ones. At high temperatures the migration of particles over the surface proceeds byuncorrelated jumps. In the opposite case the jumps became correlated. There are two types of correlated pairs of particle jumps, which give main contributions to the surface diffusion. If the surface coverage less than half monolayer any particle migrates over surface performing pair of jumps - from deep site to a shallow site and to some deep site again. If the surface coverage exceeds half monolayer, the migration of particles is described in the similar way but holes perform pairs of jumps - from shallow site to a deep site and to a shallow site again.
