Dynamic absorption coefficient of water for high-density Er:YAG laser radiation
Original language description
Transmission experiments of Er:YAG laser fight under water were performed by a laser delivery system comprising a hollow fiber and an end sealing cap. The experiments were based on a high energy fluence which produces vapor bubbles in water. Transmissionproperties of Er:YAG laser light were evaluated with various laser energy and pulse-repetition rates. The results show that, at high laser fluence, the attenuation coefficient of water is very small because water on light axis is fully vaporized.
