Original language description
To study the sorption processes in deep geological repository we arranged batch experiments. The experimental systems consisted of: (i) synthetic granitic ground water with a given ionic strength and concentrations of radionuclides studied (Cs, Sr); (ii)pretreated (with the aim to remove carbonates) bentonite suspension; (iii) solid magnetite as a representative of corrosion products of steel (two corrosion test were performed to identify main corrosion products). Experimental results were successfullymodeled with surface-complexation and ion-exchange models.
