SEFI (Société Européenne pour la Formation des Ingénieurs) was established in 1973 as a non-profit organisation. Its aims are: to promote information on engineering education in Europe; to improve communications and exchanges between teachers, researchers and students in Europe; to develop cooperation between educational engineering institutions; to promote cooperation between industry and educational institutions; to develop the European dimension in Engineering Education, and so to contribute to the development and improvement of engineering education in Europe. The society serves as a European forum and should be considered as a service to European institutions, academic staff, students and industry. Therefore, it also formulates its view on variousEuropean documents regarding higher education. SEFI's opinion on the Bologna Declaration will be presented in this paper.
