    Influence of Microstructure on Fracture Energy of Low-Alloy Steels

    The aim of this study is to contribute to deeper knowledge of mechanisms of brittle fracture and influence of microstructures parameters, such as grain size, size of bainitic packet and interlamellar spacing, on ductile to brittle transition of low-alloysteels. In our study we investigated two bainitic steels A508 (used for production pressure vessels of nuclear reactor PWR) and 15Ch2MFA (used for pressure vessels of nuclear reactor VVER 440).
