    Investigation of Correlations between Images of a Fracture Surface and Material Structure

    A specimen of welded joint in steam turbine was fractured by a fatigue crack. Fracture surface was documented by SEM, material microstructure by a light microscope. Fourier decomposition was used to image analysis. Three fatigue-independent characteristic dimensions were identified in fracture morphology. The substructure of martensitic laths was analyzed locally in 176 places. Two interpretations of mutual relations give significant agreement of characteristic dimensions in both sets of images.

    Výzkum korelací mezi obrazy povrchu lomu a struktury materiálu

    Vzorek sváru v parní turbině byl porušen únavou. Lomové plochy byly dokumentovány ŘEM, mikrostruktura světelným mikroskopem. Pro analýzu obrazu byla použita Fourierova transformace. Byly nalezeny tři charakteristické dimenze v lomové ploše nezávislé na únavovém porušení. Substruktura martenzitických latěk byla analyzována ve 176 místech. Dvě interpretace vzájemné relace ukazují významnou shodu charakteristickýc dimenzí v obrazech obou typů.
