    Acoustic Signal Classification - Fuzzy Method With Phi-Divergences

  • Original language description

    We present a new classification method on measured acoustic emission signals. This method combined fuzzy classification approach with parametric versions of phi-divergences between two normalized spectrums of the individual acoustic signals. This nonmetric measure of the distances and dissimilarities between original signals is then used as a input numerical parameter into the classification method. Overall comparison of the complete acoustic signals is the main advantage of this procedure. Moreover, phi-divergences can be adapted through its parameters to achieve optimal statistical properties of classification.
