Quantitative Texture Analysis of Cold Rolled Zirconium Sheets by Neutron Diffraction
Original language description
From the industrial point of view the research activities of the Laboratory of Neutron Diffraction (Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering CTU Prague) are concentrated to the quantitative texture analysis based on the ODF (orientation distribution function). Zirconium alloys has been frequently used in nuclear engineering techniques, mainly its application involving several combinations of temperature, pressure and reactive environmets. The crystallographic texture influences the materialsproperties, the research of the type and the sharpness of these textures gives very important information from engineering point of view. Results of the quantitative texture analysis (by ODF - orientation distribution function) of the cold rolles zirconium samples are given.
