Original language description
We study certain classes of $mathcal{PT}$-symmetric extensions of symmetric second derivative operators. The operators are similar to self-adjoint ones except particular irregular cases. Spectral properties of the latter are very far from those of self-adjoint extensions: operators with empty resolvent set and empty spectrum are present.
