Cross-section measurements of the (n,xn) threshold reactions
Original language description
We measured the neutron cross-sections of various threshold reactions using different quasi-monoenergetic neutron sources in the range 20 - 100 MeV. Our motivation comes from the "Energy plus Transmutation" project (E+T), at which Au, Al, Bi, In and Ta activation detectors are used, but almost no experimental cross-section data for observed threshold (n,xn) reactions are available at neutron energies above 20 MeV. We prepared a few studies to measure the (n,xn) cross-sections using the neutron sources on NPI ASCR cyclotron in Řež and on TSL cyclotron in Uppsala (EFNUDAT program). Quasi-monoenergetic neutrons from p+Li reaction irradiated above mentioned foils and iodine samples (also used at "E+T" experiments). Methodology of the measurements and firstresults are presented in detail.
