ZnO nanostructures (columns, cones, rods) for highly efficient thin film silicon solar cells
Original language description
In this work, we report on hydrothermal growth of large area, high quality, single crystalline ZnO nanocolumns and other nanostructures, perpendicularly oriented towards the substrate (glass or ZnO coated glass). A seeding layer was formed by thermal decomposition of a zinc acetate solution in ethanol. Vertically aligned ZnO nanorods/nanocolumns/nanocones were grown in an aqueous solution of zinc nitrate hexahydrate and hexamethylenetetramine at 75:95 °C, with the growth rate 0.5:1um/h. Morphology of the nanostructures was visualized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM, Raith e-LiNE).
