Study of Temperature Reactivity Effects on Zero Power Reactor for Increasing Safe Operation of Nuclear Installations
Original language description
Temperature reactivity effects play an important role in ensuring the safety of nuclear reactors as they provide the key feedback during reactor transients. Therefore, a deep understanding of related phenomena is strongly connected with safe operation ofnuclear facilities. To support the understanding of temperature reactivity effects, new loop-type experimental instrumentation has been developed and installed at VR-1 reactor of Czech Technical University in Prague. The paper describes the design, mainfeatures, as well as the fields of instrumentation utilization in education and its potential in research.
