High temperature gas cooled nuclear reactor is one of the GEN IV concepts representative and the main aims of GEN IV systems as safety, sustainability economical convenience and proliferation resistance must therefore be complied. In the study, the fuelused in this reactor type is compared with fuels used in common light water reactors according to economical and also physical aspects telated to safety and sustainability.
