Pu and Am sorption to the Baltic Sea botrtom sediments
Original language description
Sorption of Pu and Am isotopes to bottom sediments of the Baltic Sea has been studied under natural and laboratory conditions. Using sequential extraction, not only sorption but also the redox-reactions were followed. Kinetics experiments showed that thesorption of Pu(V), Pu(IV) and Am(III) to bottom sediments from natural sea water was controlled by the inert layer diffusion process.
