Numerical Simulation of Soil-Air Pressure
Original language description
This paper deals with simulation of soil-air pressure. For the simulations, we employ a mathematical model that couples the continuity equation with the Darcy law; the problem obtained is solved numerically by means of the method of lines using the Galerkin finite element method and Runge-Kutta method. The results of our model are compared to experimental data measured in a wind tunnel. In the final part of the article, some interesting results obtained by simulating air flow in heterogeneous soil are presented.
