Decoupling Bent Quantum Networks
Original language description
State transfer across discrete quantum networks is one of the elementary tasks of quantum information processing. Its aim is the faithful placement of information at a prescribed position in the network. All physical systems suffer from imperfections which can severely limit their performance. We study imperfect state transfer on a simple model called linear bent network. To rectify the errors (in the form of a bend), we propose the application of the dynamical decoupling procedure. After summarizing the basics of the method we adapt it to the needs of the bent wire. The analytically found correction procedure is tested using numerical simulations on a number of realistic cases. The simulations confirm that the occurring errors can be efficiently compensated for a wide range of system parameters.
