Properties of the Probing Volume of the Tabletop Confocal X-ray Fluorescence Setup at the Czech Technical University in Prague
Original language description
A new tabletop confocal micro-XRF setup was designed at the Department of Dosimetry and Application of Ionizing Radiation of the Czech Technical University in Prague. In this setup, the first polycapillary lens is coupled to the X-ray source (X-Beam Superflux PF manufactured by XOS). The second lens is placed on a motorized x-y-z stage. Thus, it is possible to study the properties of the probing volume in dependence on a mutual position of both polycapillary lenses. The space resolution of the setup andX-ray fluorescence count rate was measured in dependence on the position of the second lens. The results of the measurement may be useful for searching for the right adjustment of the confocal micro-XRF setup.
